We are Sean & Gina Purdom – Anywhere, USA

A few short years ago, we were like so many busy people.  We owned a few businesses of which none were geographically located near our home.  We were doing everything necessary to create a life that we weren’t actually living much less enjoying.  The hustle and bustle of everyday life pushed us to a point where all we wanted to do was STOP!!  Looking for a way to get off the wheel of life,  Gina proposed a long-distance hike of 2,650 miles.  Are you kidding?  Could we make a six-month sabbatical actually happen for people who were as busy as us?

May 14, 2016 was a day that would prove to be the most important or at least the most influential in the direction of the rest of our lives.  This was the day we stood at the Southern Terminus of the Pacific Crest Trail, Campo, California.  This small community on the border of the United States and Mexico had been the beginning of many journeys  for people looking for something or nothing but an adventure of a lifetime.  Backpacks filled with hiking equipment, food, water, fears and expectations based on nothing more than a dream, we put one foot in front of the other.  These steps, blisters and tears would shape our hearts, dreams and awaken our very souls.

Fast forward…..we have completely restructured our lives, allowing us the freedom to live out of our backpacks and travel the world.  Within these pages, we want to share with others what we have done, are doing and expect to do in the future to help us live a life we love.  Let Go And Live Life will share our adventures, but show that anyone can live a life of adventure and happiness if you want it enough and commit to making it happen.  We will share what has worked for us and what hasn’t turned out as expected.

No longer do we measure our happiness on the stuff in our lives.  Our happiness now comes from the briefest moments in time – life experiences.  From a cold mountain sunrise, to the smallest signs the seasons are changing.  We invite you to come along with us as we “Let Go and Live Life”.
